Hello, what a pleasure to greet you, I am Yael Yancelson and I am very excited to be your guide and companion in this magical journey through the senses and imagination.
In this episode we are going to take a trip that excites me a lot, because thanks to our imaginative power we quickly arrive in Java, in Indonesia to enjoy a wonderful journey with our 5 senses, so will you join me?
Now I am going to make you get up very early, specifically at 3 am, but it is worth it because we will see one of the most impressive shows, which is the sunrise at the Bodobudur temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Built in the 8th century and decorated with more than 2,500 reliefs and more than 500 Buddha statues.
How’s it going? Wasn’t it wonderful to enjoy the unique experience? That’s the beauty of traveling, isn’t it? Live new experiences that are unique and are etched in our memory.
Now we go to Prambanam, a really beautiful Hindu complex. It has more than 200 Hindu temples (which refer to three main gods of Hindu mythology).
Can you appreciate its details? It seems to me something unique! And the sense of peace that you feel in these temples, do you feel it? Let yourself go, feel it !!!
Ni Luh is our companion on this tour, she is a beautiful girl born on the island of Java, which is the most populated in the world.
She is extremely kind, loves to take photos with us and takes us around various places on her motorcycle.
We start on Malioboro Street and it takes us to the Sultan’s Palace, also known as Kraton and we also visit the Water Castle or Tamansari. In this palace we are going to see a traditional theater show, what do you think?
We have been told that once a year the Buddhists of Indonesia celebrate Vesak, which is the most prominent celebration of Buddhism. In which they remember Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, going to temples and making offerings.
And it’s time to eat, don’t you think? Let’s go to my kitchen.
How delicious these rich flavors are when combined, right? Let’s continue with Ni Luh who tells us that Dieng Plateau is a welcome discovery and boy is it! Look at nothing else … This incredible plateau is located 115 km from Yogya. Surrounded by temples and impressive nature is Telogo Warna, formerly a crater, and today it is a lake with volcanic activity that changes color due to the amount of sulfur that is concentrated in its waters. When the sun penetrates it, it can be green, yellow, purple or it can even take on the colors of the rainbow. A real show! Can you appreciate it?
Well, this is how we leave Java Island today, we will travel every week to another corner of this wonderful world, to know, enjoy and fly with the imagination, I ask you, if you liked the content, share it with your friends and give me a like and a review of your comments because with that you help me a lot to raise the ranking of this podcast, ALTERNATIVE REALITY A UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT SPACE THAT CREATES COMMUNITY…. This space was born from a very personal need to connect with visually impaired and deaf people who teach us that these trips full of music, smells and flavors can be enjoyed in very different ways and that is why I like to think that together we make a difference. . I invite you to know the ONCE foundation for solidarity with blind people in Latin America / and if you would like to contribute, we will be very grateful, visit https://www.foal.es
By helping others we mainly help ourselves and that is why I also found that unfortunately in Indonesia the palm oil industry has caused great problems, the environment has paid the price with deforestation, loss of biodiversity, soil degradation and water and air pollution. As a consequence, residents suffer more damaging floods in the rainy season and do not have enough water in the dry season.
