Hello, I am glad to greet you, I am Yael Yancelson and today we are going to a city that is obviously on everyone’s conversation because the exciting World Cup is starting here in Qatar so we cannot stay out of visiting this region of the planet, breathe, close your eyes and let yourself be guided, we begin!

Qatar is a sovereign Arab state located in western Asia and occupying the small peninsula of Qatar in the eastern Arabian peninsula. It has a single land border, to the south with Saudi Arabia, while the rest of the territory is bathed by the waters of the Persian Gulf.

It is an absolute monarchy that has been ruled by the Al Thani family since the mid-19th century.

The capital of Qatar is Doha, which is also the most populous city in the country. The city of Doha is located on the eastern coast of Qatar and borders the Persian Gulf. And since it is extremely full of tourists because of the World Cup, what if we take a getaway and explore the beauty of the desert; We will be the special guests of the local Bedouins and we will ride some camels. During the tour through the desert we will see several falcons while we experience the thrill of riding through the sand dunes in a high-powered 4X4, which takes us to the border with Saudi Arabia, where we can stop at the edge of the famous Inland Sea, appreciate the beautiful and different views and of course take a lot of photos, so let’s have fun!

After this adventure, we go to the Katara Cultural Village, which is the largest multicultural project in Qatar. With two majestic mosques whose architecture evokes images from the Arabian Nights, a variety of art galleries, an open Romanesque amphitheater, a drama theater, an opera house, and a museum showcasing Qatar’s maritime history and gardens.

Culture and art are very important in Qatar and that is why there is a great promotion of museums and exhibition spaces with the possibility of finding the most varied works. For this reason, this Katara Village space was created, a small town created within Dona between West Bay and the Pearl of Doha.

Did you know that film-related events are held here, such as Doha’s Tribeca Festival or the Doha Film Institute’s Ajyal Youth Film Festival?

In addition, there is a wide variety of restaurants and dining options. On the promenade, you can also enjoy food stalls, markets, and the chance to enjoy yourself on the beach. A great cultural and leisure offer that turns this small town into a union between tradition and modernity. Within this great project are the Katara Hills Gardens, gardens with more than 600,000 square meters, which house plants and trees from different countries. and continents and which represent a true oasis of cultures to celebrate art, creativity, and talent. It’s incredible, don’t you think?

These gardens also house paths for sports and outdoor recreation areas. Something that has caught my attention here is the important audio installation in this place. To provide these large open spaces with a reliable public address and voice evacuation system, we have been told that this installation should provide maximum coverage audio at optimal levels, for the comfort of walkers and users; ensure a uniform distribution of music and public address announcements throughout the park, to overcome existing uneven terrain and gusts of strong wind that sometimes occur; and provide security and reliability to the system, so that it can function correctly in any situation, especially in an emergency. It’s very nice to have background music while you walk through the gardens, don’t you think?

 This place was opened in 2010 and many Qatari organizations are located here. Its name Katara comes from the historical name of the town. The Katara Cultural Village also maintains its own private beach, a 1.5 km long strip of sand with a children’s play area, and also if we fancy we can practice water skiing, parasailing, or taking a boat ride from the beach. And now we really have to go see a World Cup game and experience the atmosphere!
