TRADITIONAL BELGIAN DISH: WAFFLE
We are in a country that is especially rich in desserts, due to its coveted waffles, original and full of flavors and accessories, and its exquisite and high-quality chocolate.
So we are going to need a waffle maker, look at this beauty I got, now I have an apron on and here are the ingredients
2 cups flour
3/4 cup of sugar.
1 cup butter, melted
3 1/2 tsp. of baking powder.
1 1/2 cups of whole milk.
2 large eggs. Separated into white and yolk.
1 tsp. of vanilla extract.
Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, chocolate and/or maple syrup. For the final topping.
We are going to combine the flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. In another one, lightly beat the yolks. Add warm milk, butter and vanilla and mix very well. Add the dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Add to the dough mixture in an enveloping way. Heat your waffle maker.
It is very important that it is hot before you put the mixture. We grease a little with spray and cook until golden. Serve and add the fruits and honey or if you prefer you can simply cover with powdered sugar, with whipped cream, ice cream or a rich Belgian chocolate.
